Shepton Mallet Festive Event this Friday

(Shepton Mallet)

Shops will be open up to 8pm.

Press release from Shepton 21: 'In your local high street there is an alternative to mass produced products such as handcrafted, art, fair-trade, organic, recycled, antique and vintage. Many shops are offering a bespoke ordering service for something individual this Christmas. Cafes, delis and bistros are open for the evening and many shops are generously providing festive food and drink. Some shops will offer discount on the night.

The town's Christmas Light's ceremony will be from 5 pm. There will be mulled wine, roast chestnuts and mince pies handed out by local groups and you can be entertained by local school children and students from the Musical Theatre School singing. For the under 11's there is a ‘best dressed Elf competition’ so dress up in your elf clothes and just turn up. Father Christmas accompanied by his attendants will be handing out sweets under the direction of Shepton Mallet's Carnival Queen. Come along and join in the festivities.

We welcome you to join in the festive community spirit of our friendly town Shepton Mallet'

See the flyer below for more information of what's on and where. All the best to Shepton 21 and everyone involved.
